Far Corner Inc.

A True Entrepreneurial Spirit

Chris MyersChris Myers, founded the first of the Far Corner companies, Traders’ Library, in 1991 after creating and ultimately selling a financial software company that developed technology licensed to a Wall Street rating agency. Prior to that, Myers was also the managing partner of a financial data transmission company which was sold in 1995.

Myers is the quintessential serial entrepreneur who constantly looks for unmet market needs and breakout opportunities. He’s been starting and growing companies for over 30 years, starting with the dry cleaning business he launched in college. Since then, he has methodically built an array of profitable businesses that serve their clients and one another with diverse expertise. These companies deliver profits year over year and, more importantly, provide the enterprise with a deep well of resources to expand and grow into new business areas, develop additional revenue streams and produce leading products and services unbounded by geography, product, market or channel.

Myers graduated from Vassar College with an honors degree in world religions and now lives in Maryland with his family. He is active in a variety of charitable organizations serving the needs of his community, including those with developmental disabilities, hospice care, young adults with cancer and victims of domestic violence. He is also active in the mentoring of young entrepreneurs and currently serves as vice chair of the board of directors for the Howard County Economic Development Authority. Myers is an active triathlete and avid cyclist, regularly participating in charity events including an annual 24 hour long ride in which he has repeatedly raised tens of thousands of dollars by riding over 300 miles.

In 2008, Myers’ companies were named one of Baltimore’s “Fast 50” companies by Smart CEO magazine.
