Scott Melville’s Annual Toy Drive: Every year Scott runs a holiday toy drive for less fortunate children at the Kennedy Krieger Institute as well as the children in the Carroll County Human Services. Not only does he collect toys, but he also arranges for Santa to visit the hospital and distribute toys while interacting with the children through games, arts and crafts.
This is a good volunteer opportunity for anyone that wants to participate. He is looking for people to volunteer their time collecting toys, wrapping toys, managing the list of kids and toys as well as assist with doing activities with the kids after they receive their toys. He may also need someone to play Santa at the Carroll County Human Services event usually in the evening.
If you’re interested in helping Scott with this wonderful initiative, keep an eye out for another email with more details! He is hoping to set some dates in October.
October 7 – Ulman Cancer Fund: THE HALFFULL REVOLUTION Come out and support the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. November 16 – Senior Interview Day at a local High School: “Perry Hall High-School Senior Interview Day is one of the ways we bring real world relevance to education. Students gain valuable insight into the interview process and the working world. By participating this year you will be matched up with students interested in your field of expertise or in pursuing a position similar to yours. You may ask them questions of your own or use sample questions we will provide. Your evaluation of their responses, resume, and poise will be used both as a grade and as useful feedback for the students to reflect on and grow from.” Click Here to Sign Up
