QUARTER TWO DONATIONS HAVE BEEN ISSUED!
Each quarter we randomly select a group to participate and without further ado,I’d like to announce and thank the Q2 participants for their donations. The volunteer committee was pleased to see the enthusiasm as you researched and chose your organizations. The goal of this program is to inspire you to make a change or help you continue your efforts to give back to your community.
Mark Liebowitz – Donated to the Nikki Perlow Foundation. The foundation offers aid to young adults and their families struggling with drug addiction and recovery.
Scott Melville – Donated to Tender Care Pregnancy Consultation Services. The $500 will sponsor a parenting class graduation ice cream social for children and mothers that the organization supports.
Sabrina Merritt – Donated to Pathfinders for Autism. The organization sponsors monthly workshops and events to increase awareness and education of the autism spectrum disorders and advocating the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Len Finely – Donated to the Appalachia Service Project. An organization that brings thousands of volunteers from around the country to rural Central Appalachia to repair homes for low-income families.
Peter Chang – Donated to the Good Spoon Ministry. The goal of the missionary work is to help the poor in the city lead healthy and independent lives.
Jennifer Marin – Donated to AIGA Baltimore for the Maryland Food Bank’s Hunger Action Month coming this September. They have planned to spend a day volunteering at the food bank and will use the $500 to donate food. (Stay tuned for a volunteer update on how you can help give back during hunger action month)
Once again, thank you all for participating. It’s great to see how excited everyone was to choose their charity. AND… Stay tuned.. we will be announcing Q3 participants very soon!
